Our success story continues! With your support, our CIS Coordinator, Amanda, helped Steffan and Jose make a plan, apply to college and earn a scholarship. Last year, Steffan went off to Washington College with an academic scholarship. Today, he's a college sophomore - and maintains that scholarship. His friend Jose, a CIS 2018 graduate, is now beginning his college journey, utilizing a $6,000 ECMC Scholarship that he earned by working with Communities In Schools. While in high school, they couldn't dream about where they'd be today. Thanks to you, our students are successful first generation college students!
In 2018 the graduation rate for CIS students was 100% and 98% of CIS students were promoted to the next grade.
